SOPA and PIPA will kill this site as well as your entire online existence and the internet as you know it. Yes, pirating is awful and one of the things keeping the comic book industry from growing. But. This is not the solution. SOPA would stop people who pay for their comics from putting their images online. That means all of those sites you love (CBR, iFanboy, Comics Alliance, Bleeding Cool) won’t be able to post pictures of the things they are reporting on. Preview images? Nope. It sounds whiney, yes, but can you imagine any of these comic book sites without actual pictures of comic books? Without pictures of anything at all? Topless Robot daily lists? Gone. Comic Book DB? Decimated.
SOPA and PIPA will actively cripple the entirety of comic book fandom specifically, pop culture fandom generally. What is better for the comic book industry? Maybe kinda sorta stopping people from pirating comic books, or destroying all of comic book fandom, entirely? I mean…seriously?
